Effective Monday, March 18, 2024, I will suspend my campaign to represent the people of the 6th Congressional District of Virginia in the U.S. House of Representatives. This is not an easy decision given the significant support we have received from the people of this district, as well as our family and friends. With support from the 6th CD Democratic Committees and our volunteers, we collected over 1400 signatures, and we began to raise the funds necessary to support a competitive campaign. My wife, Lori, and I had the wonderful opportunity to engage with voters throughout the district. To all of you who have supported our efforts, we thank you!

With the suspension of my campaign, I enthusiastically endorse Ken Mitchell as the 6th CD’s next Congressman! Ken is a veteran and a man of honor. He understands the needs of this District and he will represent us with excellence in the U.S. House of Representatives! I encourage all to support Ken in his mission to defeat Ben Cline!

I am pivoting from my campaign in recognition of the fact that our best and most lasting use in this election year is to help organize and energize voters in Winchester and Frederick County, an area that consists of over 15% of the registered voters in the 6th CD. We must organize, energize, and turn out the vote for all candidates, from President Biden, Senator Tim Kaine, and Ken Mitchell to those Democrats running in our local elections. As I have said all along, our democracy is on the line in this election. “Service Before Self” requires that I shift our focus to a greater good.
